ANGLETERRE, 27 sep. 2014 (AMP) — Après le match nul contre Oxford United le 20 septembre dernier, le “Boro” renoue avec le succès en s'imposant 3-0 samedi à domicile face à Mansfield, lors de la 10ème journée de la quatrième division anglaise.
Doublé de Whelpdale
Stevenage a dominé la première période grâce aux buts de Whelpdale (3e) et Lee (5e). Menant 2-0 à la pause, les joueurs de Stevenage ont encore accru leur avantage en seconde période avec un nouveau but de Whelpdale à 7 minutes de la fin.
Avec 15 points au compteur, Mansfield Town passe désormais de la 8ème à la 11ème place du classement, à égalité de point avec les 9èmes Cheltenham et Luton Town.
