D3 anglaise (24e journée) : Millwall bat Gillingham 2 buts à 1
ANGLETERRE, 30 déc. 2016 (AMP) — Troisième succès d'affilé pour Millwall qui fait à nouveau preuve d'un grand réalisme. Après les victoires contre Charlton Athletic et Swindon, les Lions poursuivent sur leur lancée en s'imposant 2-1 vendredi à domicile face à Gillingham, lors de la 24ème journée de la troisième division anglaise.
Millwall a dominé la première période grâce au but de Gregory Lee à la 13e minute. Menant 1-0 à la pause, les Londoniens ont encore accru leur avantage en seconde période avec un but d'Onyedinma Fred à la 63e minute.
Avec 37 points au compteur, Millwall passe de la 9ème à la 7ème place du classement, à égalité de point avec le sixième Southend United à qui il reste cependant un match à jouer.
