ANGLETERRE, 28 déc. 2014 (AMP) — Après leur défaite 2-0 contre le Burton Albion du 26 décembre dernier, les “Rovers” renouent avec le succès en s'imposant 2-1 dimanche à domicile face à Northampton, à l'occasion de la 23ème journée de la quatrième division anglaise.
Odejayi a ouvert le score à la 32e minute, avant de voir Northampton Town égaliser à la 44e grâce à Richards. 1-1 à la pause. les Tranmere Rovers l'ont finalement remporté en seconde période grâce au but de Kirby à la 63e minute.
Avec 24 points au compteur, Northampton Town passe de la 19ème à la 20ème place du classement, à un point du 19ème Cheltenham.
