ANGLETERRE, 23 sep. 2017 (AMP) — Cinquième victoire de la saison pour Scunthorpe United qui confirme sa grande forme. Vainqueur contre Doncaster Rovers le 17 septembre dernier, “The Iron” poursuit sur sa lancée en s'imposant 2-0 samedi à domicile face à Portsmouth, lors de la 9ème journée de la troisième division anglaise.
Tout s'est joué en première période avec les buts de Novak Lee (12e) et Holmes Duane (33e).
Avec 18 points, Scunthorpe United passe désormais de la 6ème à la 5ème place du classement, à seulement un point du quatrième Wigan Athletic.
