ANGLETERRE, 2 sep. 2017 (AMP) — Après le match nul contre Oxford United le 26 août dernier, les “Shrews” renouent avec le succès en s'imposant 2-1 samedi à l'extérieur face à Gillingham, lors de la 5ème journée de la troisième division anglaise.
Shrewsbury Town a dominé la première période grâce aux buts de Morris Carlton (30e) et Rodman Alex (38e). Menés 2-0 à la pause, le but de Parker Josh à la 76e minute ne permettra pas aux joueurs de Gillingham de revenir au score.
Avec 13 points, Shrewsbury Town passe de la 3ème à la 2ème place du classement, à égalité de point avec le premier Peterborough United.
