ANGLETERRE, 27 aoû. 2016 (AMP) — Après sa défaite 2-1 contre les Bolton Wanderers du 20 août dernier, la “Cod Army” renoue avec le succès en s'imposant 2-0 samedi à l'extérieur face à Southend, dans le cadre de la 5ème journée de la troisième division anglaise.
Fleetwood Town a dominé la première période grâce au but de Long Chris à la 18e minute. Menant 1-0 à la pause, les joueurs de Fleetwood Town ont encore accru leur avantage en seconde période avec un but de Hunter Ashley à la 77e minute.
Avec 8 points, Fleetwood Town passe de la 12ème à la 8ème place du classement, à seulement un point du septième Peterborough United.
