ANGLETERRE, 26 aoû. 2017 (AMP) — Après leur défaite 1-0 contre Sheffield United du 19 août dernier, les “Tykes” renouent avec le succès en s'imposant 3-0 samedi à domicile face à Sunderland, à l'occasion de la 5ème journée de la deuxième division anglaise.
Barnsley a dominé la première période grâce aux buts d'Ugbo Ike (31e) et Barnes Harvey (35e). Menant 2-0 à la pause, les joueurs de Barnsley ont encore accru leur avantage en seconde période avec un but de Moncur George à la 67e minute.
Avec 6 points au compteur, Barnsley passe de la 20ème à la 15ème place du classement, à égalité de point avec le 14ème Fulham.
