ANGLETERRE, 16 aoû. 2016 (AMP) — Wigan Athletic et Birmingham City n'ont pu se départager et se séparent sur un match nul 1-1 mardi soir, à l'occasion de la 3ème journée de la deuxième division anglaise.
Les Birminghamois avaient bien entamé la rencontre avec le but du milieu David Davis à la 44e minute. Mais alors qu'ils menaient 1-0 à la pause, ils n'ont pu empêcher Wigan Athletic de revenir au score avec le but sauveur du Gallois Craig Davies à la 90e minute.
Avec 5 points au compteur, Birmingham City passe de la 8ème à la 9ème place du classement, à égalité de point avec le huitième les Wolverhampton Wanderers.
