ANGLETERRE, 1er oct. 2016 (AMP) — Après 2 victoires d'affilées contre Southend United et Swindon Town, les “Cobblers” se sont inclinés 2-3 contre les Bristol Rovers samedi après-midi , lors de la 11ème journée de la troisième division anglaise.
Northampton Town avaient pourtant bien entamé la rencontre en prenant l'avantage dès la 9e minute grâce au but de Revell Alex. Menés 1-0 à la pause, les joueurs des Bristol Rovers sont cependant parvenus à inverser le cours du match en marquant à trois reprises en seconde période (Gaffney Rory 60e, Hartley Peter 71e et Colkett Charlie 90e).
Avec 17 points, Northampton Town passe désormais de la 4ème à la 5ème place du classement, à un point du quatrième Sheffield United.
