ANGLETERRE, 17 oct. 2015 (AMP) — Cinquième victoire de la saison pour Scunthorpe United qui confirme sa grande forme. Après les victoires contre Fleetwood et Oldham, “The Iron” poursuit sur sa lancée en s'imposant 2-1 samedi à domicile face à Shrewsbury, lors de la 13ème journée de la troisième division anglaise.
Shrewsbury Town avait pourtant bien entamé la rencontre en prenant l'avantage à la 15e minute grâce au but de Kaikai Sullay. Menés 1-0 à la pause, les joueurs de Scunthorpe United sont cependant parvenus à inverser le cours du match en marquant à deux reprises en seconde période (Laird Scott 58e et Madden Paddy 74e sur pénalty).
Avec 17 points, Scunthorpe United passe désormais de la 15ème à la 12ème place du classement, à égalité de point avec le 11ème Port Vale.
