ANGLETERRE, 10 déc. 2016 (AMP) — Après leur défaite 2-0 contre Leeds United du 3 décembre dernier, les Villans renouent avec le succès en s'imposant 1-0 samedi à Villa Park face à Wigan Athletic, à l'occasion de la 20ème journée de la deuxième division anglaise.
Après 45 minutes de jeu, Aston Villa et Wigan Athletic n'auront pas réussi à se départager. 0-0 à la pause, tout s'est décidé en seconde période avec le but délivreur du milieu Irlandais Jack Grealish à 2 minutes de la fin du match.
Avec 28 points, Aston Villa passe de la 15ème à la 12ème place du classement, à égalité de point avec le 11ème Barnsley.
